This was one of my favorite classes at school and taught me a lot. I think it is an important class and cutting it would be a huge mistake.

Child Development is an important class that students have the option of taking as it is one of the few classes where you get hands-on experience. It's a class that allows students to interact with and learn from preschoolers and can help students decide how they want to continue their education beyond high school. Bonnie Ziff is a phenomenal educator and truly makes a connection with each and every one of her students.

These classes impacted my decision to become a preschool teacher. I loved child development and still rely on the skills mrs. Ziff taught mem it woukd ve an injustice to those in north hills high to cut these classes.

Mrs. Ziff is my role model.. She made me the person I am today. Without her I would be long gone down the wrong path but she turned my life around and I can never thank her enough for what she has done for me and my whole family. Taking this class away will take learning responsibility away from future students

This course changed my life in the most positive way I can think of. I went from hating children to loving them and going to school to work with them.

I met my lifelong best friend when we were both children who participated in this program together. I later took the class as a high school sophomore, and I can honestly say this class taught me more skills applicable to my life than many of my "core" classes.

As a 2010 graduate, Mrs. Ziff personally has made a difference in my life in so many ways. She's an amazing educator who always took the time to make each student feel special, while teaching a class that is important for the future of many different careers. I am currently in graduate school for Occupational Therapy, and I know child development was a great elective that aided my future educational endeavors. Furthermore, she's a great asset to so many students who felt that other teachers/staff didn't care or didn't want to listen to their problems. I am so thankful she was a part of my educational experience at NHHS and I can't thank her enough for the difference she's made in my life.

Bonnie Ziff taught me some of the greatest lessons so far in life. Both in class and in between. She has shown so many students their self worth and has taught many more how to be responsible care giver to Others and their own future children.

In my years of high I learned a lot of things, but most of them don't apply to my every day life but the ability to understand how to raise a child is a lesson that every person should have to learn. I don't personally have children, but I bet any student Mrs. Ziff has taught that has a child of their own really appreciates what she taught them.

This class taught me so much about children, and about people. You dont really know a person until you see them with children. I was in the Changes program which was cut, and I went with Mrs. Ziff to volunteer in the special olympics. She got in trouble by helping students get real world experience and do things that go beyond math, reading, writing, and social studies.

I had this class when I was in high school (1986). It is a wonderful way to learn care for children. ❤️

Mrs. Ziff's room was more than a classroom. It was a sanctuary for others and me. For her program to be cut is outrageous and is a perfect example of the flaws of the public school system. Life is about more than just test results. Though I know that test results are what make the district able to pay for extra programs like child development, Ziff's program doesn't deserve to fall victim to the politics. She is the only person that truly treated the kids as if they were her own.

Mrs. Ziff motivated me so much throughout my time at North Hills. Without her I probably wouldn't be as driven and responsible as I am. It's sickening how they treat her. No offense to a lot of the great teachers at North Hills, but what Mrs. Ziff has taught me has stuck with me more than what any other teacher has

high school students are going to have to interact with young children at sometime in their lives and eventually have their own, I can thing of nothing more beneficial than giving students a chance to work with little kids, Mrs. Ziff teaches real life skills and i couldn't think of anything more useful than that. And if anything the child development course at North Hills is an excellent form of birth control and shows students how not ready for parenthood they really are

Being a special education major, child development inspired me to keep my reaching for my dreams of working with children. Keep child development in our schools.

This is a great class for students to see & handle all different kinds of personalities there are in children. It helps students decide what job they may want to pursue when they're older & it also might help students realize that maybe kids aren't for them. Overall I've had child development three times throughout high school & it's helped me to become more knowledgeable towards children & it helped make my decision on what I want to be when I grow up. Plus I already love children so actually being with them one on one is amazing, plus it teaches me how to handle certain situations.
