I graduated in 2016 as a Band Major. Everyone loved the Arts for what it brought out of us. For it’s talents. People come to that school to be themselves and do what they love. I don’t think it’s fair to let a principal that doesn’t know ANYTHING about the Arts, come take everything thing we worked hard for away. It’s called Arts for a reason. It gave us something to look forward to. Please don’t let him change my school anymore than it is. Please.

I was a visual arts major and graduate of 1997 and I’d be outraged then if you took my 2 hours of art away in any format to add a class no other major is being forced to comply with. Youth need to have a say in their craft to stay committed, therefore engineering classes could be electives for anyone regardless of major.

As a graduate of the school and one of the few students who was allowed to take classes in every major and took classes in room 106 this would be a great loss. Time in our classes for the arts is already limited and to insist that the students be forced to take a class that would not necessarily help them with what they want to be learning does not make very much sense.

Taking the art out of mhsa as the a stands for art I can tell you they will lose a bunch of money and students this would not be a smart decision because most students came here for the arts

Funneling a child's educational choices by mandating them aside from prerequisites and quite possibly a waste of time due to absolutely no interest in said madate is just a waste. Milwaukee High school of the Arts is for the creative arts. This is unfortunately a hindering of their educational path of probably most if not all students who attend there. A bona-fide waste.

This course should be an elective open to all student by choice, not by force that cuts into artistic instruction hours.

My child is a visual arts major, entering 19th grade in the Fall. They have zero interest in taking an engineering course as part of their major.

Y'all have no right to make these kids study things that won't benefit them, let alone no one wants-students, staff or parents.
