CPD has been indirectly defunded for the last 5+ years by not hiring enough officers to patrol the city when majority of neighborhoods want an increased police presence. Additionally, many officers, detectives, & white shirts have retired or resigned post covid or due to poor conditions. They are outmanned & outgunned by criminals & violent flash mobs/protesters. Any available technology to assist to keep citizens safe should be utilized. It’s unconscionable not to. Car jackings, burglary/assault on a person, & commercial/residential burglaries are all on the rise. Loopholes in the SAFE-T Act must also be addressed to stop repeat offenders.

We most definitely need to continue this!! It’s imperative. Everything must be done to control crime & aid our fine CPD department in doing their job

Shot Spotter works to stop more young people from getting involved with shooting guns and shooting off fireworks, because they know it will be tracked. It works!
Keep shot spotter and get rid of Brandon Johnson.
