Not sure what you're doing on York Road but its disrupting traffic and now it would appear closing the children centre. I would have thought this estate needs all the facilities it can get.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN HAVE SUPPORT AND AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE THEY CAN BEGIN THEIR DEVELOPMENT. CLOSING THIS CENTRE WITHOUT A REPLACEMENT IS CRUEL, INHUMANE AND SOCIALLY IRRESPONSIBLE.

The council tried to do the same at Tooting Triangle. They did a u-turn after outrage by local parents. They need to do the same here too.

All Mercy Foundation Centre clients with young children uses York Garden Children's centre frequently. Well, I've been in environment for as long as 10 years. I feel it will be a disservice and a huge set back to the community and the children concerned if the centre closed down now.

Small investments early on in a child's life pay dividends. It is a false economy to cancel such initiatives.

This centre has served my family for 14 years helping two of my daughter's with their first encount with other kids.
It has given myself and my wife free time to do other important things during the day.
