The Postal Service is changing service standard, cutting processing and delivery network by more than half and closing local Post Offices The Postal Service is closing 2,000 small rural post offices, and it’s reviewing half of the country’s 32,000 Post Offices for closure. These bills are in Congress NOW, and would streamline the closure process. Williamsport is a rapidly growing area. Mail volume can be expected to increase with this growth. To close the mail processing plant on Reach Road, would cause major problems with a cut in service and longer delivery times to everyone. We the undersigned implore the postal service keep the Williamsport Post Offices processing and delivery center in full operation.
