Thunder Road is a classic wooden coaster. After than Intimidator & Fury325, it's the best coaster at Carowinds IMO. Take down Vortex, Cyclone, or Hurler. Those are horrible!!!

I've just got home to England and especially made my inaugural trip to Carowinds from Tennessee to ride this classic woodie. I loved it and how it crossed two states. If Cedar Fair gets their way this will be another woodie that won't reach its landmark birthday (40 next year). Surely a marketing dream if there's any respect for historic structures. Please think very seriously Cedar Fair as I think classic woodies (not RMC'd hybrids) will be much sought after in the next ten years or so. Have no regrets. I'm a European Coaster Club member and I'm sure ACE would not want to lose a coaster of this stature.

My one dream is to Run Carowinds one day.Thunder road is my original favorite.I would never let that Coaster go.do what you think is right though....

I believe if Anything is to be done to Thunder Road it should be remodeled. Maybe a hybrid coaster track or something.

Don't tear down Thunder Road
Remove Wayne's World instead of Thunder Road.
