Taking down an iconic coaster for possible waterpark expansion isn't the best decision in my opinion. Just build an underpass how Kings Dominion does with Rebel Yell. Problem Solved.

Why would you take a classic Rollercoaster and take it down to put something new in its place. This is why people come back to the park, to remember & remeness what it was like to of rode something for the first-time.

Please do not tear down one of my favorite rides at carowinds, this was my first rollercoaster and I still to this day enjoy it! It is a little rickety but I love it. It is the first ride I ride when I come to Carowinds each weekend, please keep it up, tear down something instead please

My mom loved this coaster and we have countless memories on it. She passed away and I don't want the coaster to go cause of its sentimental value

Can we (Charlotte) stop destroying our history? I agree, Thunder Road is NOT the most thrilling ride at the park, but it is the iconic ride that brings everyone back to childhood. And besides, no one needs more water park space.

I really hope you don't shut this down. It was the first roller coaster I ever rode when I was a kid. Scared the daylights out of me. Now my kids and I enjoy it. I can truly say it is our favorite coaster. There is nothing like an old wooden coaster.

This is my families favorite ride in the park. We are so sad to hear this. We bought season tickets this year to be able to come and now my son is so upset. It's the only roller coaster he feels safe on.
