This might be my favorite racing coaster and have it ranked 5th best coaster at Carowinds. It would be a shame to lose it.

Thunder Road is a tradition. Why are we Americans always wanting to throw traditions away? New roller coaster more money? For once let tradition stand.

Need to keep such an iconic ride!
Rode it as a kid, I got my wife to ride it, I want my child to ride it. Why is it that we always try to fix something that isn't broken?

What kind of moron takes away a historic rollercoaster that is a draw for amusement park enthusiasts across the world?? We don't care about new boring rides.. . leave the staples. In short---duuuuuuh.

This is a part of history, what will we tell our kids once all the great wood coasters are scrapped for flashier packaging? Thunder Road draws a line and brings people into your park. Being the biggest is not always the best. Embrace your heritage not dismiss it to be a like every other park. Thunder sets you apart from the crowd.

Thunder Road is a historic ride, and has been at the park since it's inception. People still run to the ride each morning to be one of the first that day to get on.

It's really a shame that Cedar Fair which has such a long history of protecting and celebrating roller coasters would so carelessly discard / destroy a historic coaster which is such a vital part of the park's personality and fabric.
