Thunder road is a staple in North Carolina. Race against SC backwards? Seriously best ride in the park and you want to take it out? Wooden coasters are dying out and we could very well have one of the last. It's a piece of history. Once you tear it down you can't get it back. And I, for one won't return to the park.

Riding Thunder Road is of my favorite memories as a child visiting Carowinds. Not scary. Just fun!
