I believe that with the right love and care this American and North Carolina icon could keep the idea of small town USA alive in a ever growing landscape. What people do not understand is that families have been bring their children for generations to ride this wonderful coaster. My grandfather took my mother and uncles when they were kids and my mother has now done the same. I would love to bring my kids to this ride and keep the spirit alive so they can show they children. I know as a multi park conglomerate you plan on expanding to new and bigger things but please realize that by doing this you are shunning a large amount of your North and South Carolina fans. We love Thunder Road and all we ask is that you allow it to stay.

This was my very first roller coaster. Please keep it. A trip to Carowinds just won't be the same without it.

I have road it countless times and it existed before I was born, I can tell you there are countless rides at the park that could disappear before this one EVER should. Let it stay, and expand around it.

Thunder road is a classic. My first ride I rode when I was finally tall enough to sit in the seat of a real roller coaster. Wooden coasters are the original coasters for my age. I remember when the "grite your teeth" ...... Etc signs were on the coaster. Also, so much fun to ride at night. If your going to rid of a coaster, close hurler and rebuild in that area. Hurler is way to rough as is. Thunder road may need improvement, but you will have many supporters.

It's too bad. They should wait till the end of the season.
