Love the ride! Wooden roller coasters are the best. Wish it still went backwards :)

Thunder Road has a special place in my heart. Up until the time I was 19 years old, I was deathly afraid of roller coasters. It was in July 2006 that I came to Carowinds and I made up my mind that I wasn't going to be afraid any longer! I walked into the park and the first coaster I ever tried was indeed Thunder Road. Since then, I have been a coaster fanatic and have conquered giants such as Millennium Force, Intimidator, Intimidator 305, Top Thrill Dragster, and of course most recently, Fury 325!! HOWEVER, NONE of those accomplishments would have been possible had it not been for Thunder Road!!!

I will never ride on this Roller Coaster,because I live in the U.,It should be saved because it's made of wood,The wooden Roller Coasters are the best,wish,just make them safer,wished we still had them in the UK.
this is just one ride you can't get rid of!
