If They Need To Shut Down A Coaster, Why Not Close The Hurler Instead? To My Knowledge, It Is Less Popular, Not As Fun, And Of Course, Not The Iconic Ride That Thunder Road Is.

This has been a fixture here in the Carolina's for decades. Please don't take this away from generations to come. I love this roller coaster ride. I know that other would love it too when the ride it. Please think of the kids that are up and coming that see this ride from the road and say I can't wait to ride that when I get big enough. I am a nanny to children of all ages and they always say that to me when we drive by. The Thunder Road was the first Roller Coaster I road when I moved here from Kansas City. I love it right away. Please I beg you don't take this Roller Coaster down. Thank so much for taking the time to read this. I hope you find it in your hearts to keep this very loved Ride. Why the herro would they rid the park of such a classic. Whatever this "big splash" is that's replacing this woody surely can't beat it in terms of thrill. And even if it does, why is thunder road's existence in it's way. There's plenty of other spots it could be built. This just makes no sense.

Thunder Road is a classic wooden racing coaster that has been at Carowinds for a long time, and to this day, it is loved by people of all generations. Carowinds, I love you, but please don't remove this iconic ride! It's so much fun and a lot of people, including I, would be sad to see it go. It wouldn't be the same returning to Carowinds one day, to see all of the coasters I love again... Except Thunder Road. So please, let's keep this legendary woodie so that many more generations can enjoy it too! #SaveThunderRoad

From what I can remember this was the first roller coaster I ever road and enjoyed when I was little. Even when I go back to Carowinds, I always feel the need to ride this attraction cause though it's a short ride compared to the other monsters there (that I don't ride because I don't like coasters that humongous like Fury or Nighthawk), it's something my speed and style, like to thousands of others that have signed this petition. Yes, it's good to progress and make changes to the park, but sometimes, the classics sould and need to stay.
