back in 70's they had an old coal locomotive and one day it was gone, now they plan to get rid of another icon, these older rides give generations of families thoughts to remember and to look forward to share with younger family..

This was a ride me and my brother rode 14 times in a single day and the first rollercoaster I was able to get my little sister to ride. And every time we go to the park we ride it for the memories

Rethink this is a childhood memory. To all from the 70s 80s 90s 00s why not the new coaster that keeps getting stuck. Or maybe the Carolina cyclone that's boring.

I worked at Carowinds during the 2014 season. I love Carowinds and Thunder Road is an important part of NC/SC history. If the park should demolish any ride it should be the Carolina Cyclone. That ride is terrible. But the upkeep for Thunder Road is probably insanely expensive, so I can understand why Cedar Fair would want to make better use of the space that Thunder Road occupies.

Please reconsider your decision to remove Thunder Road from Carowinds. It is an important part of Carowinds for SO many reasons. Among those is that kids that want to ride roller coasters but aren't tall enough for the bigger ones can ride it, and it's unique by being wooden, that it gives riders a different experience. I hope that all of us can make a profound impact on your decision, because this ride has a special place in our hearts.
