I spent the entire morning at the shelter watching the staff care for the newest arrivals after my own rescue dog played there years ago. I am currently gathering documents to present at the next council meeting because the decision to potentially close these doors is wrong.

Seeing this kind of momentum brings tears to my eyes because I know how many abandoned animals depend on the shelter for their second chance at life. Your dedication reminds me why I started this fight in the first place.

This shelter is the only reason my dog is alive today. They do so much good for the community and it would be a total disgrace to close it down.
Keep it open! Those animals have nowhere else to go. Town hall needs to stop being so cheap and pay up.
Too many abandoned pets in this city already. If this place leaves who is going to help them???
Don't shut it down. We need this place.
Ridiculous that they are even considering cutting funding. They save lives every single day.

my rescue cat came from here and he is the best thing that ever happened to me. save the shelter please.
