I proudly sign this petition. We must all work to Save the Sea Star. If you have just finished reading Capt. Joe's narrative of the problem he is facing......after years of providing his clients, school children, families, Veterans, AND the City of Oceanside CA so much, he is now fighting to keep his business, keep his boat, run his charters, take the children out for the ocean classroom lessons, provide dignified and honorable buriels at sea for civilians and Veterans, and contribute to the City of Oceanside (financially and by generating income and good will for the city ). Capt. Joe should be given a Personal Achievement Award by the City of Oceanside for all that he has done for the city over all these years.....instead they are casting a blind eye on this problem, they do not respond to him, they refuse to even look into the matter......AND......they are Helgren's lease holder. Hmmmm.....what's wrong with that picture. I hope that Capt. Joe gets many, many, signatures on this petition.....he deserves all the support he can get.....after 30 years of positively impacting the lives of so many people. Thank you.

I support Captain Joe Cacciola and the Sea Star.You can bring your family and friends on his boat for exceptional sportfishing, your kids can get a hands on education of the oceanic environment which helps them to be more ecologically responsible citizens of their community as adults, and your loved ones who have passed away can have a beautiful and dignified burial at sea. Please don't let greed destroy all that!

Joe does a great job and I have charted his boat several times for kids fishing trips and he has helped lots of those kids find a love for fishing including my son Andrew who had his first trip on the Sea Star.

I have used Captain Joe for over 20 years for my company annual fishing trip. He provides great service, he has established his business and I would be sad to see him forced out, please keep Sea Star around!!!

This situation is simply unjust and unfair. The city needs to step in and support this business for the benefit of the Oceanside community.
