Pumas were eliminated from most eastern North America by the turn of the 20th century due to uncontrolled hunting and trapping,habitat fragmentation and destruction,and decline of their main food supply-white tailed deer. Since the puma has become endangered the white tailed deer has made a comeback.Without sufficient predators, like the puma, deer overpopulation has become a serious problem in lots of eastern states. Without sufficient predators in a eco-system, those species whose numbers have not been controlled willbecome vunerable to diseases that could threaten entire populations and ultimately destroy the eco-system!!!Sign this petition and not only save the pumas,but save nature!!
