I will be the first to say he has to stay! I don't even listen to this station and I know who he is and what he does for the city. He is Kansas City. As soon as I saw his name I knew it was the morning show on 98.9. Do not let him go. Everyone, even fans of other music types know he is an icon in KC. Do the right thing by him and the city.

Johnny is not only a brilliant radio host, but he is a true humanitarian. His hope for the holidays campaign brings warm feelings to heart and tears to my eyes. This city would lose a great voice for its regular Joe community if he were to leave the air.

Besides being THE BEST morning show in KC, The Johnny Dare Morning Show on 98.9 The Rock is THE staple-morning show in Kansas City Rock stations. In finding Johnny Dare and his morning show in 1994, I have listened since. When someone mentions Rock in Kansas City, or honestly even mentioning your station, 98.9 The Rock, it is Johnny Dare and the Morning Show that people know. Johnny has aided your company (and previous owners) in establishing a following to his show and the station over the last 22+ years. He and his morning show are an enormous part of this city and a HUGE reason listeners tune in to your rock station. If you don’t listen to us, this listeners, talk to any of the bands, comedians, celebrities or other guests who have been on The Johnny Dare Morning Show, and they will tell you that Johnny Dare is the best DJ they’ve talked with, and that they can’t wait to be on the show again. I’ve heard it said over and over again while listening to The Johnny Dare Morning Show. At the same time, The Johnny Dare Morning Show creates a unity among extremely diverse individuals by providing awareness and a way for us as individuals to join our efforts to help local charities and struggling families within our city making a much greater impact. Johnny is so humble in his efforts to help our city, usually saying it’s the listeners that make a difference; however, we, the listeners wouldn’t have knowledge about a particular cause or need without The Johnny Dare Morning Show broadcasting it across the airways to all his listeners. Kansas City is filled with great people. Our city can do a lot of great things together and make huge differences. The difference in the intensity of the level of the positive difference we can make is The Johnny Dare Morning Show.
