I am very upset to hear this. Mrs. Timothy is a wonderful teacher and I do not understand why this happened. She has taught my daughter for 3years and my son for 1 year. I am very disappointed to hear that this has happened.

We love the fine arts in Pinson, and have some amazing teachers! Bearden, Triola and Timothy are some of the best in their fields! It would be a shame to get rid of them!

I don't understand how they would let him go or fire him? He has done so much with the kids and has done a superior job with the kids as a teacher and a mentor... I'm as a parent with a child in theater is very upset with this decision. We as parents that have children in theater or just support theater need to bond together and write the school and BOE on the issue!! This don't just effect the life of the teacher this effects the life of all the theater students, I don't believe Mr. Turner understands how many children he has effected and what he has done to the theater department. This decision on letting Brandon Triola go has impacted all of the theater students and parents and the department of theater of PVHS. I Steven Baird would like to know why this decision was made and believe the kids and Brandon should also know why this decision was made, we all deserve the respect to know why..! We as parents now have to deal with and handle with care our children that our effected over this decision.. I would like to have all the parents in a meeting and let's talk about this issue and write the school and BOE. We need Brandon Triola as our theater teacher, we as parents need to stand together and fight for his job and our childrens future as actors or actresses. I'm willing to meet with all the parents somewhere in Pinson to talk about what we can do and work as a unit to make Mr. Turner and the BOE understand that this decision is not just hurting Brandon it's also hurting all our kids... Feel free to contact me through private message or email [email protected]

Personally, I am devastated and so thankful for all that Mr. Triola has done at PVHS and the for the future vision he had for the Theater Department! I think this is a terrible move, not only for the future of the students and the Theater Department but also for our community. He was working tirelessly to build community support and love for Fine Arts and in the lives of his students and the adults in the community!

We finally had a group of teachers who actually cared about us and did their job so well. The fine arts department means so much to so many people. We are truly making a difference in the community and I can't believe someone would want to put a stop to that.

These teachers have made such an impact in my life. In this short year they have taught me so much, and I appreciate them for every hour of their time.

I am sickened by the arts department, not being viewed as important as sports teams. WE ARE A TEAM - WE ARE A FAMILY Mr. Triola has also worked tirelessly with my daughter to make her care about her academic performance, how important it is to get her grades up, and stay on top of them, and for her want to go to college. More than that he is and has worked with her on being a team player (not needing the spotlight all the time), and how to be a better person in life. (life lessons) And his knowledge in his field is unbelievable. I am sick my child will lose this mentor.

I received a notice this morning of the firing of Mr. Triola and Bearden and Mrs. Timothy. I would like to encourage the retraction of this decision. The fine arts department was my sole decision for enrolling my daughter in Pinson Valley High from Hillcrest High in Tuscaloosa two years ago. It is pivotal that we give all children the opportunities to express their talents and grow. Our community needs to be more cultured, accept diversity as well as encourage growth of programs that enhance creativity. Please accept my petition to retract this decision. Thanks, Mitzi Pitzing

This is wrong on so many levels. We support our teachers!

This is so very unjust! These teachers have improved the fine arts program 100 percent in the past few years. Them being pink slipped with no explanation is not only unacceptable but it's unethical. How can we expect our schools to improve and grow if we keep dismissing the people who are making positive changes?

I am outraged at the dismissal of Brandon Triple and Adam Bearden. Both of these gentleman have brought their respective programs to great heights. I hope that both will be reinstated immediately.
