This is a sad day in the history of fine arts when a high school puts more worth on one group of students than another. Each activity at school is an outlet for a student to express their talents, may that be sports, debate teams, theater, etc. When you eliminate one group to highlight another, you cut off that outlet for those students. And not only that, you have taken away the livelihood of the teachers involved. Do not do this! Keep Fine arts!

How can progress be made when cuts like this are made? I'm a graduate from the Arts department at PVHS and the strides that these teachers have made to improve the program are incredible. So much passion and progress.

Some teachers only have a student for one semester, maybe two. Fine Arts teachers are there for the entire four years, and they hold a special place in a student's heart. These three have made such a different in my daughter's life and in the lives of others. Please keep them on your staff.

These are good teachers and the school board and/or administrators that fired them need to be the ones to go!!! This is awful and I am ashamed of PVHS.. I graduated from there and now my daughter is a junior there. It was bad enough when everyone got fired last year.. Now we have more of the same and it doesn't help the students at all. But the Board and/or school administrators clearly don't care one bit about the students

This is a sad day for PVHS students who have worked so hard to get to where they are today and it couldnt have been done without these teachers.

What example are we setting for these children? That creativity and expression mean nothing? That music is irrelevant? That Theatre is for 'losers'? It seems PVHS gave up on creating well-rounded students ages ago. Now it's all about sports. So what do the fine arts kids do now? Nothing. They're not going to be engaged. They won't learn. The school will fail. Just like it failed it's children.
