If you didn't know some reason that kids actually stay in school is because of fine arts and the reason they keep there grades up is so they can participate in stuff without it students won't be willing to try as hard fine arts is just as important as sports or reading and math I'm pretty sure there are a few famous ppl who had fine arts in their life and look where it got them why can't they do the same for us. When you start to notice a decrease in grades or behavior you'll know why!

Way to go Turner! You just screwed everything. I look forward to meeting with you tomorrow! What would you rather have- students being addicted to productive activities or drugs? Fine arts is often underestimated. There's more of a chance of a student playing in a college band than there is a student becoming the next Michael Jordan. PVHS Band will be no Show Band. It's ridiculous trash that will not get us anywhere. You want a show band? Then go to a different school and making it trash just like you are with ours. Do you care about our future at all?? If Mr. Bearden does not come back, I will be taking my place at Alabama School of Fine Arts. You've probably never heard of it because it's for people who have a brain. People will be leaving the band. Most people only stay at football gsmes until half time is over. In fact, the majority of people sitting in the bleachers are only there for the half time show! Now let's do some thinking right now - It may hurt your hollow head. If all of the students drop out , the new director will not have a job. Not only that but if all of the students drop out, there will be no halftime. Therefore, the number of people in the bleachers will decrease rapidly. Let's all remind ourselves, THATS WHERE THE MONEY REALLY COMES FROM.

Come on now! Let's think about this. Don't get rid of what works for education.

Brandon Triola is creative, works hard, and deserves better. I have personally seen him volunteer his time to help others using his amazing theatrical skills. My students love him, and I suggest the community do it, too. Let this star shine. Lift him up!

So proud of the students that this travesty has affected. They are proud Indian warriors holding their heads high and fighting for what's right. Prayers for everyone involved.

It's a shame our kids leaving Rudd middle this year and starting at the high school, now has a dim future in fine arts and music because of the idiots that run the board and high school

As not only an alumnus but a current instructor with both programs, this is not only a disgrace to PVHS fine arts but to the community. Fine arts is a lifesaver for some kids and taking away the teachers they love, is like ripping it away altogether. #forbearden #fortriola

I don't even attend this school, all I know is that everyone loves them and they made a huge impact on the lives of the students that love them.
