The Swope disc golf course serves as a place for exercise and relaxation for thousands of local residents. Please consider using this property for both dog shelter and disc golf course.

The Swipe Park Disc Golf is a historical site for the sport of Disc Golf and the members of the KC Flying Disc club donate thousands of hours of volunteer work making it a very low cost national attraction.

This is one the oldest disc courses in the nation and it is one of few that some handicap people can play.It also has some of the greatest volunteers to keep it good shape. Why destroy such value to the community?

Plenty of room to put the shelter across the street from the course where the dilapidated baseball fields are. No reason why both cannot exist and satisfy the wants of the donor.

Disc golf may be a young sport, but it is growing, someday it will rival ball golf. KC is known as a leader in disc golf with a vibrant community. The city has lately been known to look to the future, to embrace what its citizens love, to gain the trust of its citizens. It is finally starting to work, kansas citians' trust in government has been on the mend. KC loves disc golf, we trusted you to work with us, KC showed that interest in maintaining that trust. Don't betray our trust, stick to the plan, embrace disc golf and kansas city will continue to be a destination for a growing sport, with huge potential for growth.

I have visited KC for nearly 20 years now to participate in various disc golf events. The Swope Park course is one of the premier courses in the USA. Losing any part of this facility would be a great loss and shameful on the part of those making this change.

This course was one of the first disc golf courses ever built. It should be a historic landmark.

The first disc golf course I ever played and one I still try to play every time I return "home" to KC. This course has brought thousands of people in from out of town, in turn spending tourist dollars in KC, over the years. It would ups be a real disservice to KC and disc golf to lose the course entirely.

The Swope Park Disc Golf course makes Kansas City a destination vacation spot for me twice a year. My memories include being awarded the 2003 Amateur World Championship after 27 grueling holes on the final day. Please save Swope Park Disc Golf.
