WORLD RENOWN, but Kansas City can't keep it? How can somebody's money be more important than one of the most historical disc golf courses ever?

It is truly a shame that the 'winner take all approach' has taken place in this situation. At very least the City need provide their rationale for the change and provide just compensation for a venerated and historic destination DG course

They could put the shelter on the other side of the park superintendent's house and keep this landmark course intact.

Disc golf is a great family sport. You would be doing your community a true disservice to remove it. Please reconsider.

This is one of the best courses around and players come from all over the world to compete here, would hate to see it go.

There are empty parking lots, and fields near by. I do not see why one of those could be used. Save this course.

Removing the Swope Disc Golf Course would be a disservice to the community. Please try and find an alternative location for the no-kill animal shelter.

It would be a crime to close this course down.

A great loss to our city. A shelter can go anywhere. It shouldn’t displace a successful use of our beautiful park. Disc golf players take care of area grounds, keep it safe by their very presence.
Now the city wants to wipe out green space and trees. Replacing them with asphalt. There are lots of spaces that need to be bulldozed over and leavethe course alone.
There are even unused baseball practice fields across the street that could be used.
A grant written by the disc golf group paid for the new restrooms there.
Golfers from around the world and across the country make Swope a destination in their travel plans. The many tournaments bring in major dollars to the city.
I’m not against a no-kill shelter but I’m against building it at Swope.
Save swope!
