The board has officially resigned and the transition to community leadership is moving forward. I am honestly stunned by what you all achieved here because this belongs entirely to the people who insisted on transparency. Please keep a close watch on the transition process to ensure the future stays in …

Why Save SRRBBL? The league should be owned by SRRBBL Players, Coaches, Members and Volunteers, or better known as, the “SRRBBL Community”. The actions of the SRRBBL Board over the last several months has taken the ownership away from the SRRBBL Community, which is unacceptable.

The members of the SRRBBL Community conducted research over the last six months regarding the management of SRRBBL. Information, which is all public information, was reviewed and showed that SRRBBL is being financially mismanaged and the league is in need of new management and a financial turnaround.

Detailed info about what was discovered during the research can be reviewed at: www.savesrrbbl.com. At a high level, below are only some of the issues the members of the SRRBBL Community uncovered:

  • The SRRBBL Board has reported annual gross income, since 2012, which makes no financial sense. This is either improper tax filings and / or false reporting of gross income.
  • The SRRBBL Board tried to hold an election that was rigged and unfair. The SRRBBL Board then cancelled the election due to legitimate complaints by the SRRBBL Community, but never held another public, fair election. The SRRBBL Board held their own election amongst only the current SRRBBL Board Members, three in total, and voted themselves back in and rewrote the SRRBBL By-Laws to allow for this process.
  • The SRRBBL Board slightly revised the old SRRBBL By-Laws to allow for unfair election process, allow for SRRBBL Board Members to be paid for coaching or other non-Board capacities and allow for business to be conducted between SRRBBL and companies owned by SRRBBL Board Members.
  • The SRRBBL Board misreported SRRBBL Player numbers to PRCS in 2016, avoiding an additional $2300+ owned to PRCS. This was later corrected after the SRRBBL Community proved the numbers being reported were grossly incorrect.

It is clear that SRRBBL is no longer owned by the SRRBBL Community and is being mismanaged. The SRRBBL Board has taken complete unilateral control over all aspects of the league, with no checks and balances in place.

By signing this petition, you are stating it is time for the current SRRBBL Board to step down, and allow for a temporary “Transition Board” to be installed to ensure financial integrity and to get SRRBBL heading in the right direction. This Transition Board will step down in April 2018, at which time a legitimate, inclusive and fair election will be held.

I am honestly overwhelmed by the momentum this is gaining. Seeing so many people jump in to protect our league reminds me that this belongs to the community after all.

I am truly overwhelmed by the messages so many of you have sent about your own experiences with the league. It is clear that this feeling of being left out of the process is shared by people who care deeply about our community. Please know that I am reading every single word and looking for the best way to bring these concerns to the board.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have stepped up to help save our league. We are coming up on one hundred people joining this cause and I wonder if we could find a few more neighbors to join us before we approach the board.

Completely unacceptable. PRCS should not allow the organization to use its facilities until the current board resolves all outstanding discrepancies or steps down and allows for an interim board to govern. Here we are a few weeks left for regular registration and the league is in utter chaos. Our kids deserve better.

I can't believe the obvious evidence of gross mismanagement and perhaps something worse. The program is too important to the community and to the high schools it feeds into to let this continue to happen. As a parent of 3 kids who played in this league over the last 8 years, I wish I had paid more attention and am grateful to those who did.

SRRBBL should provide full access to how much they are receiving, and precisely how and when funds are being raised and disbursed. This is a common practice for not for profits that have nothing to hide. Full transparency is the only way for this organization to regain the public’s trust.

Financial transparency is needed. We the parents fund this league, and we hold the right to elect Board Members and understand how funds are allocated. Legitimate Board elections must occur. SRRBBL: do what's right and decent for the sake of our children and our community.

I think we need to address as follows: Seek an injunction against the current board member's authority to lead, dissolve the board, hold an open general election, reconstitute a new board and establish a new set of bylaws. If that can't happen by October 2017, then we need to petition the schools to dismiss SRRBBL and open a new league w middle school ties.

It is (was) a great league. Both of my kids enjoyed playing in the league's rec and travel programs. Brad Reck worked hard to build the league into a successful entity. To honor his memory, let's work to keep it that way!

Our third year in SRRBBL and management has not improved at all. Does not operate as a mature league that has been around for a while.
