Why Save SRRBBL? The league should be owned by SRRBBL Players, Coaches, Members and Volunteers, or better known as, the “SRRBBL Community”. The actions of the SRRBBL Board over the last several months has taken the ownership away from the SRRBBL Community, which is unacceptable.

The members of the SRRBBL Community conducted research over the last six months regarding the management of SRRBBL. Information, which is all public information, was reviewed and showed that SRRBBL is being financially mismanaged and the league is in need of new management and a financial turnaround.

Detailed info about what was discovered during the research can be reviewed at: www.savesrrbbl.com. At a high level, below are only some of the issues the members of the SRRBBL Community uncovered:

  • The SRRBBL Board has reported annual gross income, since 2012, which makes no financial sense. This is either improper tax filings and / or false reporting of gross income.
  • The SRRBBL Board tried to hold an election that was rigged and unfair. The SRRBBL Board then cancelled the election due to legitimate complaints by the SRRBBL Community, but never held another public, fair election. The SRRBBL Board held their own election amongst only the current SRRBBL Board Members, three in total, and voted themselves back in and rewrote the SRRBBL By-Laws to allow for this process.
  • The SRRBBL Board slightly revised the old SRRBBL By-Laws to allow for unfair election process, allow for SRRBBL Board Members to be paid for coaching or other non-Board capacities and allow for business to be conducted between SRRBBL and companies owned by SRRBBL Board Members.
  • The SRRBBL Board misreported SRRBBL Player numbers to PRCS in 2016, avoiding an additional $2300+ owned to PRCS. This was later corrected after the SRRBBL Community proved the numbers being reported were grossly incorrect.

It is clear that SRRBBL is no longer owned by the SRRBBL Community and is being mismanaged. The SRRBBL Board has taken complete unilateral control over all aspects of the league, with no checks and balances in place.

By signing this petition, you are stating it is time for the current SRRBBL Board to step down, and allow for a temporary “Transition Board” to be installed to ensure financial integrity and to get SRRBBL heading in the right direction. This Transition Board will step down in April 2018, at which time a legitimate, inclusive and fair election will be held.
