Save the Short Pump Community Center, Inc.
1. WE do NOT support dissolution of SPCC, Inc.
2. WE support the Bylaws amendments mailed to SPCC members in June, 2009, and approved at the assembly of SPCC, Inc. members on Sept. 27, 2009.
3. WE believe that members of SPCC, Inc. have voting rights. WE believe this is supported by the SPCC, Inc. Bylaws which specifically outline the right for SPCC, Inc. members to elect board members and to vote to approve Bylaws amendments as well as the history of member voting at SPCC, Inc.
4. WE support the immediate discharge of the six board members of SPCC, Inc. who voted to dissolve SPCC, Inc. on September 10, 2009. These directors did not, with this action, honor their duty to operate SPCC, Inc. by and for the benefit of members & as the Bylaws require.
5. WE believe the mission of SPCC, Inc. is to provide a safe, affordable pool, tennis and recreation community center to foster fitness and health and to provide family and individual social opportunities to strengthen community relations.
6. WE support an immediate, third party audit of the financial affairs and records SPCC, Inc. with the results of said audit being available to SPCC, Inc. members.
7. WE support retaining legal counsel for the purpose of maintaining the viability of SPCC, Inc.
8. WE support publicity in the news media to help keep SPCC, Inc. viable.
9. WE are members in good standing of Short Pump Community Center, Inc. Our signatures below affirm the above statements.
The momentum behind our effort to protect the Short Pump Community Center continues to grow at an encouraging pace. This level of engagement reinforces our shared belief that the membership must hold authority over the future of the organization.

This whole thing is so shady. The board is acting like they own the place but they work for us. Step down.

My kids grew up in that pool. You guys have no right to just close it down without asking the people who actually pay for it.

The pool is the only spot in the neighborhood for families to hang out in the summer. Don't let them take it.
