Every student should be provided the opportunity to develop a skill at which they can potentially excel.
I believe that the music program in the Smithtown Central School District is an essential component of a total educational experience and I believe it to be a priority.
I agree that the music program in the Smithtown Central School District should remain intact.
I request that the Board of Education make every effort to maintain the music instruction rotation and staffing at the level of the 2011-2012 school year.
I certify that I am of voting age and that I reside within the limits of the Smithtown Central School District.

Music was the only reason my son looked forward to going to school. Cutting this program is a huge mistake.
Stop taking away everything that matters to the students. Its not fair.
Education is more than just passing tests. Band class taught my daughter discipline and teamwork.
leave the music department alone!!! so many kids depend on band and chorus to get through the day
Keep the music staff at full capacity. We need these teachers.
