On July, 22,2009, the San Jose Evergreen Community College District approved the removal of the San Jose City College Baseball Field along Leigh Ave, due to the fact that the SONA and SONA president Randi Kinman did not like the 90 foot poles and how she has to see them from her yard everyday. The Baseball Field was 60 percent complete and 2 million dollars spent on it so far. The better part is that the Chancellor and the Board of Trustees gave in and agreed to the SONA's demands. I am trying to petition the District, Chancellor and Board of Trustees to change the decision that has been made and complete the Baseball Field, only 40 percent is left to finish on the Field. Too much has been spent on it to remove the field.
