Why can't the valedictorian /and/ the audition speaker talk? Seriously freedom, there's a lot to complain about with you, but this is huge.

A Valedictorian should receive the honor of writing and presenting the graduation speech.

Please do not break traditions that motivate and build confidence of students. They have done all to earn the glory.

I dont even know this girl but if she worked hard enough for valedictorian then she obviously has things worth saying and earned her right to say it.

The epitome of academic excellence and integrity, the valedictorian persists twelve years to earn the privilege to address his/her classmates. Having a small committee of teachers and the principal choose an additional speaker via closed audition is fine, but having the additional graduation speaker substitute for the valedictorian without clearly notifying the valedictorian that she has been stripped of her privilege? And having the valedictorian instead introduce said "additional" speaker? The injustice my school has shown to my best friend and valedictorian Shannon Menezes must not be ignored.

As an alumni of Freedom, I am very disappointed that they are taking the valedictorian speech from her.
