Dear Mayor Gilbride and the Sag Harbor Village Board of Trustees: We support you as well as the Village Planner and the Village Lawyers in your efforts to update the Village commercial zoning code. The code is a vital way to protect Sag Harbor from large scale development which is not in character with the existing fabric of our village. The process of revising the code included a survey of the existing village, as well as multiple hearings. We are happy with the revisions and feel they protect the village from out-of-scale developments, as well as providing a more user-friendly, simpler process when considering new applications. Keep up the great work! We continue to support the new Code and we greatly value your efforts on behalf of this wonderful community!
