Save the Rock Eisteddfod Challenge in Australia

The Rock Eisteddfod Challenge is a non-for profit organisation that promotes a healthy lifestyle free from alcohol, drugs and violence. In excess of 500 schools compete nation wide in the world's biggest dance competition. Over 1 million students in Australia have competed in the event since it first began in 1980, and the event has become bigger and better ever since. As the REC is a non-for profit organisation, it is highly dependent on outside funding. The Australian Government has decided this year, that the event will not be held nation wide. They claim this is because they are losing money because of low ticket sales. No wonder, tickets for the Melbourne Event are $50 dollars a head. Many students are heartbroken, and schools are shattered (some have already almost finished choreography.) This group has been designed as a petition against the decision. We need to get as many people as possible to join so that we can prove to the Government that this is the wrong decision.
