My name is Laura,I used to swim in Martin county swimming. After changing swim teams three times ,martin has been my best experience because the coaches are the best, they coach with all their heart , and they help you individually ,with any problems you might have in swimming. It is important to be able to swim for your own good, so that you are healthy. Swimming is also safe; its a sport where you can exercise all parts of your body without getting hurt.In Florida ,water is all around us and we need to learn how to swim because its hard to find coaches like Coach Barbara, Coach Laing, and Coach McComb.

I am a 1977 gruad and learned how to swim at this very pool, as well as my children! It would be a shame to see it Close because of something so Insignificant . My husband attended as well and was on the swim team. PLEASE DO NOT CLOSE IT!!

This is a community need! To have only one pool in the county is ridiculous. Sailfish can’t handle all the high schools and meets already in place.

I attended MCHS and graduated in 1985. My brother was on the swim team and I attended his swim meets Being in the swim team taught him so much more than just swimming. He learned discipline, how to be part of a team, it kept him healthy and it kept him busy, safe and out of trouble ! Please allow other kids this same experience.

Why do you always single out swimming? Your winning team! Look at the scholarships awarded. How about you shut down football a very dangerous sport.

I spent many years of my youth at the Martin County High School pool as a swimmer for Martin County Aquarics, as a Martin County High School swimmer, and as a lifeguard/swim instructor for the community pool. Countless children learned to swim at the pool and kids/adults were able to play or exercise on nights, weekends, and days throughout the summer. Camps of children coming to beat the heat were able to count on their day to come to the pool and get wet Jumping off of diving boards and swimming with their peers. Just a few words to illustrate the large impact that my little community/ high school pool of my youth had on me and so many others.
Save MCHS pool! Please
