the university confirmed the counselling course is staying open. i cant thank you enough for backing this when it felt like they were going to drop us.

Support the Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling course at The University of Aberdeen.
It has come to our attention that there are doubts and uncertainty regarding the future funding of the Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling course at The University of Aberdeen. The course is unique and has the reputation for being the only truly Person-Centred university based counselling course in the country. Both individuals and the wider community benefit from this course and we believe that the true value of this course cannot be measured in financial terms but in its’ service to society and the individuals it has been enabled to help.
We understand that the course’s future will be decided in the very near future and it is with this in mind that we would invite you to sign this petition to ask The University of Aberdeen to continue to support and fund the Post Graduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling course.

KEEP IT OPEN. The impact on the community is huge.
Quality over quantity. This university needs to prioritize what actually helps real people instead of just chasing meaningless stats.
Ridiculous that they would even consider axing this. Aberdeen needs more qualified counselors not fewer. Fix the budget elsewhere.
Person-centred is the only way to help people properly. Dont take this away.
This course is vital for the north east. Mental health support is already stretched thin enough without cutting the best training program in the country.
