I totally agree with all the comments made. With another 4500 homes planned including the ASR's, EHDC have used the town simply to fill the housing quota without fairly spreading the commitment over the whole District. We have been given no robust proposals as to how BS will manage this increased pressure on our already stretched infrastructure. What are our representatives doing to support the town? Given the poor turnout of the drop-in session and delivery issues of the pamphlets for the District Plan consultation should this period be extended?

Not enough school places NO A&E - our nearest is 10 miles away in Essex nearest Herts hospital with A&E is 23 miles away and CLOSES at 8pm ( just make sure you've got transport to get the 23 miles away and make sure you get there before 7:30pm). Train into London is PACKED solid before it reaches Bishops Stortford due to the massive development Essex have built on the doorstep at Stansed Mountfitchet. Development should STOP - you have already got the permission for Stortford North, more houses North Sawbridgwworth - scholars walk - that's sufficient. Argued that. School could not be built on 'green belt' in Whittington way ONLY to propose 1000 houses go there 2 years later - revenue above education and peoples welfare - shame on this council.

I remain very concerned about lack of school places & nhs/primary care facilities. I moved my family from London to a lovely small, friendly green area I wonder how long it will remain so!

The infrastructure (particularly roads) of Stortford and its environs cannot cope with this level of expansion.
The character of this fine old town will be destroyed by this ill thought out development. The adverse consequences of this development are being ignored or glossed over.

The infrastructure is not there for this sort of development. You only have to try and get in or out of the town to know that. Also parking is a joke. Please think again

Regarding schools, housing, roads, shopping, healthcare, policing, train service, etc Stortford has reached its natural limit. We should not sacrifice standard of living for unconstrained growth.

This proposal is beyond ridiculous. Saturday mornings are already a no go for parking. It takes regularly least 10 minutes to get out of the station car park in the evening. Trains to London are standing room only. It defies belief to think the town can absorb development on this scale. Local opposition is dismissed. Please reconsider.

Please stop the development . There is too much congestion in the town already. There is not enough space for parking today on a Saturday , how will we cope with thousands more card? The streets are too narrow, and increased cars will resultvin safety issues and traffic misery . Little hadham cross roads will be further impacted making it even more unbearable at rush hour. Secondary school provision would be inadequate.

Without proper planning in place and/or action taken to improve Stortford and the surrounding areas infrastructure I object to this development on the grounds that current residents will suffer tremendously from the increase in traffic. Any resident who commutes will tell you that we already face a huge issue with the volume of traffic on our roads. There is the question of schools for the extra children and many other factors that need to be addressed.
