We Oppose the Sale of CMS land at Sedgefield Middle School

please stop this sale

This is taxpayer paid land. We need to be responsible stakeholders and care for our neighborhood and not allow our park to be compromised by this proposed land sale.

Charlotte should be embarrassed by how little park space we have and overcrowded green ways due to population growth. Save this open space in sledge field. It's going to become more and more dense. If we won't do it now, don't assume someone will make up for it in the future. These decisions now are the future.

Let's save some space for future generations, we have enough development already.

Natural areas are priceless!

This land is used and enjoyed by residents every day. I've walked, played and enjoyed nature here hundreds of times. Charlotte doesn't have enough green space already and developing this space would have a large negative impact.

Please leave the land alone. We need to stop the high density concrete that is everywhere. One of the reasons these neighborhoods are so populate is because of the green space! Thank you

Keep Sedgefield green haven! Our community will stay unique and values will continue to rise if we treat sacred our quiet nest in the midst of Southend/South Blvd gridlock!

Please don't sell. I thought that land was part of the park. I think it should be. Keep it green.

We need as much grren space as possible especially since so much condo development has taken over surrounding areas! The trees, greenery are esential for healthy air and animal habitat. Thank you.

I am most concerned with the destruction of the beaver dam across the entrance from Butterfly Park. There are 4 generations of beavers living in each dam, the parents who mate for life, the babies, one-year olds and two-year olds. The family unit works together to keep the dam airtight. Beavers are considered the world's greatest engineers in nature and do much to help the eco system.

Oppose sale of land in sedgefield

We need to protect our park space and our green space.

With all the over-development of look-a-like condos/apartments in the South Blvd corridor, it is refreshing to have natural, unadulterated green space like Sedgefield Park available for our neighborhood.

I love this green space!! Keep Sedgefield neighborhood filled with trees and happy neighbors.

I grew up in Dilworth. Our house backs up to Sedgefield Park. This green space needs to be kept! There is already too many apartments/townhomes being built taking away nature's place.

My property backs up to Sedgefield Park and walking past this area is one of the highlights of our walks! The sale of this little green oasis is driven by greed. How shameful & sad.

My family has owned a home in this neighborhood for three generations. I went to Sedgefield Middle School and have donated money to support the school for over 10 years. The green space between the park and school is special and vital to not only the neighborhood but to the students who attend the school. Please stop this condo madness and save this special green space. Thank you.
