Don't ruin the community plaza

My concern is with the farmers market currently using the plaza on Saturdays. PN Hoffman's plans for relocating the farmers market are completely unrealistic and call for vendor parking in spots that will almost certainly never be granted. The move will not come to fruition, and PN Hoffman has made it clear their plaza redesign won't accommodate it. The market will fall away and they'll simply be able to say "we tried."

This is our neighborhood and a giant apartment building at this location will ruin the cohesive and safe feel of our home.

That proposed building robs our hood of its character. We're unique in this city, small and personal—why ruin it? That space should be left open, for the market and music and community needs. We don't need more retail—just count how many retail spaces are lying vacant as it is. Respect the people who live here and scale it down.

Preserving open public spaces is critical to fostering a sense of community in the Adams Morgan area. This pedestrian intersection at 18th & Columbia Rd. is used as a farmers' market and for other valued activities. I believe a 65-foot height limit and moderate density along 18th Street and Columbia Road is in the best interest of the community as well.

This open plaza is part of what makes Adams Morgan such a great neighborhood - building community is more important than more condos! There are more than enough luxury condos in DC - please stop ruining the city scape.

Whatever the locals residents want...power to the people rather than the developers!!!

Yes to what everyone has said and....... Parking and traffic are already unbearable. New condos on Adams Mill, a new hotel off Columbia and Euclid will already make it worse. This proposed eyesore would grind it to a halt.

Preserve what makes Adams Morgan special and local, don't rob it of its charm in favor of the commercial. It's more important to have a community space and a condo building would disrupt the views and feel of the neighborhood. No thanks!!

Really, another Bethesda-esque building, this time at the center of Adams Morgan. No thanks.

This site is the core of the neighborhood & hosts farmers markets and impromptu gatherings year round. It should not be eliminated to put up more expensive underutilized condos!!
