As a free museum, The TMM was one of the only places we could afford when my kids were young. I also took Camp Fire clubs there. We always enjoyed going and learned a lot in the process. Please find the funding for this Austin treasure!

This is the only science museum in Austin and it's being slowly shut down?! As a science teacher (who has taken kiddos here for a field trip), I am deeply saddened.

I took my children to this museum often when they were growing up. I am a teacher and I have taken classes to this museum many times, as well as participating in the museum outreach program by bringing scientists into the classroom. This is a very important museum for science education. Do not decreas the funidng. Instead increase it!

As a curator I am aware that once these programs are cut, they won't be reinstated when funds are in a better position, which is detrimental to the function of a museum:to inspire and educate all.

I loved this museum as a student at UT, amend all my kids have enjoyed it as well. We've had several school field trips there, and they learn so much! It should be preserved so that future generations may also enjoy and learn from it.

Save the museum! I went to UT Austin and recently brought my children to see the TMM. My 5 year-old daughter really enjoyed everything in the museum, especially the dinosaur bones and geodes. This place is a treasure and should be preserved for future generations.

I used to spend hours here on days when I didn't have class, just learning and sketching fossils. It would break my heart to see this place go.

I've been to this museum many times, and helped conduct outreach events attracting thousands of community members there, including many young, potential future UT students. It is an extremely valuable, irreplaceable resource, a UT icon, and an incredible source of inspiration for Texans of all ages. Museums are a symbol of learning and knowledge, and ought to be a top priority for public Universities.
