Stop the re-zoning to urban infill of Rosehill Golf Course and identify and protect important recreational areas such as golf courses

Recently the City of Swan cited no urban development so as to retain the integrity of the region, that being vineyards and tourism. LIARS!

Golf clubs are islands of green in our rapidly diminishing urban forest. They provide important habbitat for wildlife and many health benefits for people. Turning this area into a treeless subdivison and urban heat sink would be a tragedy.

Is another community asset to be sacrificed for the greed of a few?
I will be disgusted if this goes ahead. I bought my land so my son could grow up in a peaceful rural area without the feel of absolute suburbia. If this goes ahead I expect to be fully compensated and my home and land purchased from me at an inflated price (as should all teh othe residents) who bought their homes with the belief there would always be a golf course right next door.

Over the last few years we have lost the 9 hole course in Kalamunda Road to a brick works factory, a 9 hole course in Clayton Street and the Burswood Golf course is going to be turned into a car park to service a sports stadium and the adjoining casino. And now it's being contemplated to turn the Rosehill 18 hole golf course into a housing estate. All those golf courses were well supported during the weekdays by the retired seniors in the area and by the general public at the weekends. Makes no sense to sacrifice so many local leisure venues in such a growing a locality.

Putting aside the loss of the amenity and the open space consideration must be given to the effect that another 600+ dwellings will have on the traffic flow through Guildford and the Bushmead Bypass.Add to this the increase in traffic from the ongoing Helena Valley developments and Caversham subdivisions.Guildford is already gridlocked for several hours a day.It is poor planning to allow further development without addressing transport issues.There is no point expecting anything but incompetence from the City of Swan unfortunately.During my 40 years in Guildford I can't recall any time the City of Swan has displayed any progressive leadership.

Overcrowding at other golf course will result which means more maitenace, more costs to the golfer. Many will give up the past time and health issues will result. Save our golf course.

Total madness. Will lose a great place for recreation and all the wildlife that goes with this oasis of greenery in a densely populated area. And as soon as people move into the houses they will be complaining about the aircraft. Leave Rosehill Golf Course alone. Disgraceful move by the City Council.

This beautiful piece of tranquil countryside offers so much pleasure to many people of all ages and status. Will your government build a replacement? I think not! After the debacle of the Guildford Pub, please put something back into the community.

I am more concerned about the urban development under a 20-25 ANEC contour., especially being made aware of the noise problems from the airport at Hillview Lifestyle Village. The noise attenuation is not working, and it should never have been allowed.

Leave the course alone. Money from its sale will not bring you happiness - the smile on the faces of the people who use this facility is priceless
