I'm actually planning on studying Design next year and that's one of the reasons why I'm going to Otago as opposed to staying in Wellington

I myself am minoring in design and wouldn't like to see this disrepair especially after completing one paper for the minor that showed how design is.

This course is unique to NZ, as the only human centred design course in the country. It fulfils a gap otherwise missing from NZ design education.

This is crazy! Complete backwards thinking. New Zealand needs design.

It's so important to keep these courses alive, it adds to Otago Uni's creative variety in that which they have to offer.

Education in Otago needs to progress forward and not backward. How can we attract the most people if we do not offer the courses that they want?

Priority not to the students, but to the directors ambition? Unacceptable.

I'm not a design student or anything related to the arts, but seeing my university take detrimental steps like this is disappointing. Universities should promote learning, not prevent it.
