Whereas, We the undersigned musicians of the Napa Valley Symphony Orchestra wish to see the Napa Valley Symphony Association (NVSA) re-organized, and are fully committed to using all the resources we have to maintaining the orchestra at the level it has attained over the past eighty years, and.... Whereas, the Napa Valley Symphony Endowment Fund Board of Directors have confirmed their support of a re-organized NVSA as we envision it, and.... Whereas, The American Federation of Musicians, Local 292, have stated their willingness to advocate on behalf of the NVSA to the AFM-EPF (Pension Fund) to avoid considerable withdrawal fees in order to facilitate re-organization of the NVSA... Now, Therefore, We strongly urge the present Board of Directors of the NVSA to consider not filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy at this time in order to allow us time to effect the aforementioned re-organization. However, in the event that such a bankruptcy is filed, we still urge the NVSA to not file for dissolution in order for us to make arrangements with creditors to pay a larger portion of the NVSA debt than would be paid under Chapter Seven Bankruptcy.
