The conserved area was established for a good reason, don’t mess it up with more overpriced apartments we don’t need.

I agree. The easement agreement was signed by all pertinent parties after much study and thought.
Wetlands are a very important part of the water cycle and due to climate change, are essential to protect for their water retention function, especially during drought.

We must not set a precedent where Conservation Easements can be amended. Defeats the whole purpose of putting a Conservation Easement in place.

Under no circumstances should we allow a well thought out conservation easement to be subsequently modified.

Pleases respect this and all existing conservation easements. It is important to preserve and protect our remaining natural open spaces.

The restrictive Conservation Easement at Norden Place was put in place as a condition of the onsite development that was approved there in 2009. It was meant to preserve the area in it's natural state and to be used strictly for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. This easement should not be lifted for the sake of a 189-unit Westport apartment complex abutting East Norwalk's Norden Place and and will ultimately further negatively impact our quality of life with traffic, congestion, noise, stormwater runoff, flooding, etc.
