This petition is to be signed by NFL fans, followers, or anyone interested in saving the NFL we all know and love from the changes being imposed on the game by Roger Goodell and the owners. Here are the issues for which this petition is addressing: 1) Change the kickoff back to the 30-yard line. We do not wish to see a kickoff that is kicked from the 35-yard line. 2) Do not add two games to the regular season. A 16-game schedule is more than sufficient. Eighteen games simply opens the game of football to more injuries. We are under the impression (or we are being told) that the league wants to make the game safer. Do not contradict yourself. 3) Remove some of the ridiculous new precautions and return the game to what it once was. It was great and could not have been better. Injuries are, unfortunately, part of the game. Football is a contact sport and everyone involved in this sports knows this fact when they choose to join the league. Return the NFL back to what made it so popular. It was fun to watch. However, it is slowly becoming stressful and infuriating to be a fan of the sport. We had a good thing and we, as the fan and the life support for the NFL, fee as though the game of football is being tainted and ruined. Restore te game welove for the sake of the ones who matter: The Fans.
