Anyone who has actually read the Twilight series knows the serious change that Jacob Black undertakes. He changes from a 15 year old teenager to a 6'7, 25 year old in appearance, semi monster. Jacob does not look like a sweetfaced youngster. He looks like a menacing, intimidating (yet sexy!) man. I have no problem with Taylor Lautner in general, but that sweet kid from Cheaper by the Dozen is in no way fit for this role. After perusing the comments on a website discussing this matter, I noticed that someone had suggested Steven Strait. HELLO! GENIUS! Not only has he proven that he can carry a movie (The Covenant, anyone) but he's ALREADY buff, a workable 6'2, and definitely hot enough to satisfy the female fans. So why put all of this energy and effort into transforming Taylor into this role when we can get someone who already fits it! I know it sucks for him but young Jacob, and werewolf Jacob are two completely different people and need completely different actors.
