It’s a good catholic school

Mother Seton School, led by Ms. Mary P. McErlaine, touched the hearts and changed the lives of every one of her students, families, and staff. The first and most essential characteristic of the school body is the transmission of faith in Jesus Christ through prayer, and preparation for and regular participation in the Sacraments. Led by this mission, teachers in all disciplines at every grade level support the dignity of the family and families open to life, reinforcing Catholic teaching while bravely voicing a message antithetical to the message of popular culture. Each child at Mother Seton hears and experiences that he has a unique mission and purpose and that God is faithful to His children. Four young men who graduated within the last eight years are studying for the priesthood. Is this not a remarkable testament to Mother Seton School? The school community was doubly stunned to learn that our dear Principal passed on the eve of her birthday, the same day of the announced covid school closing. This school community was overjoyed when the Archdiocese hired Mr. Isaiah Gomez to serve as Principal, and the school community joyfully rallied to prepare to reopen for the 20/21 school year. RCAN's decision to close the school is a blow to the families who depend upon Mother Seton School as the place they trust to help them raise their children. Please reverse the decision to close Mother Seton School.

In my mind it is not possible that they can take away such a good school as mother seton school. It is painful that the archdiocese is closing a school that meets all the characteristics of a Catholic school! That today they no longer exist only in name! It is devastating to know that this school is closing. I sent all 9 of my daughters here and I am so thankful for all that it has done for me and my family. This school helped teach my daughters faith and always pushed them to be hard workers. Mother Seton is a second home and a safe place for many families. I pray that you will consider keeping it open.
