MOOS IS A RECREATIONAL BIKE PARK IN CLYNE WOODS BUILT WITH THE HELP OF GRANTS FROM PUBLIC MONEY- ALLOWING FREE OPEN ACCESS FOR ALL. KIDS FROM ALL OVER SWANSEA COME TOO MOOS TO DEVELOP THEIR SKILLS ALONGSIDE PROFESSIONAL MOUNTAIN BIKERS AND DIRT JUMPERS. THESE JUMPS WERE HELPING TO ATTRACT CHILDREN OFF THE STREETS TO PARTICIPATE IN EXERCISE IN A FUN AND SUPPORTIVE MANNER. SOME OF THE UK'S TOP PRO RIDERS WERE BORN AND BRED IN SWANSEA AND USED MOOS AS THEIR TRAINING GROUND. RIDERS YOUNG AND OLD WORK TOGETHER TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN THE JUMPS. THESE JUMPS ARE NOW IN DANGER. FOLLOWING A SINGLE COMPLAINT TO THE COUNCIL THE JUMPS HAVE BEEN CLOSED DOWN WITH THE THREAT OF BEING DEMOLISHED IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THE CHILDREN OF SWANSEA NOW HAVE NOWHERE TO RIDE. PLEASE SIGN THIS AND PASS IT ON TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO HELP US SAVE MOOS!!!!

Updates

July 3, 2011

The groundswell of support for the jumps has been overwhelming and honestly keeps me going when the task feels impossible. Watching people come together to protect this space reminds me exactly why we started this fight in the first place.

Ridiculous to close it down because of one person. The kids actually have a safe place to ride here.

Used to ride here years ago. Such a shame they want to destroy it. Let the kids have some fun for once.

My lad loves going there on weekends. It keeps him active and out of trouble. Dont knock it down!

Why do they always take everything away from the youth in this city? it was a great spot.

Fix the jumps instead of getting rid of them. Its where the next gen of riders are learning. leave it be.
