The loss to the village will be severe. The manner by which the closure has been engineered can only politely be described as deeply disappointing. Already people are declining to buy property in the village and we will end up as a retirement annex. SCC and Ofsted need to raise their own bars

As a (retired) newcomer to the village I still feel that the school is essential to the overall "health" of the village and Suffolk CC should be doing more to help rather than take the easy option and close it. From what I have read recently of OFSTED it's procedures leave a lot to be desired; its reviews seems to be a box ticking exercise with little attempt to consider the bigger picture.

It is very sad that the school has been let down leading to the tragic situation it is now in. I hope and pray a really positive solution will be sought and found. The school deserves that as it has served children in the village and surrounding area well in the past, including my two children in the 1970s.

It is appalling what has been done to our school and, should it close, the village would never be the same again. There are ways to save it and these should be investigated as soon as possible to negate the damage Suffolk County Council has done

a primary school is the foundation of education, even more so one to a local community, to close this village school and force young children to travel miles in search of a good education is sacrilege, disgraceful and shameful, this would be another poke in the eye to village life, one that those that sit in office care very little about, another sign of political elitism.
