Please help stop the government sale of the Mark Twain National Forest. This sale is disguised as a way to sell timber and use the money for rural schools. This national treasure is vanishing as we speak. We are already seeing less trees, more building, and more dead animals in the road that have nowhere to go. Please get involved, write to your local officials, and sign this petition. This is a temporary way to solve a permanent problem. We need to find money for the schools another way. Sign this and save the Mark Twain National Forest.
The weight of this fight settles in my bones every morning but seeing this movement grow gives me a reason to keep going. We have built something real here even when the outlook seemed bleak. I am exhausted by the slow pace of progress but I am not stopping until the forest is safe.

Find the money a different
Way! Because in 40 years game and parks will be wanting to restore the forest costing taxpayers buku, do the math, it's a wash and not worth changing for the wildlife it supports today. Preservation is likely the best use of money.

Look at the devastated area East of Roaring River, we believe the ecosystem services costs are too large to pay for what the community would gain! Wildlife habitat is cherished in MO!
