why shut down a skate park when this sport is still growing and it will never die out? all 3 of my sons and my husband skates and closing this park would be detrimental

My son is 8 and he is extremely interested in learning to skate. This is the ONLY place in Indianapolis that allows skateboards!

In my opinion if they shutdown Major Taylor Skatepark this will just make things worse. This will allow for kids to skate, bike, rollerblade, etc. on street spots causing damage to private property. If cops and other people don't want people to damage property then keep the park open. This is a excellent way to keep kids out of trouble and running the streets.

Skateparks keep skaters off of other property. Either let them skate wherever they want to, or keep this park open.

I have two grandsons in the area that are just old enough to use the skate area .as chidren we all roller skated and biked safely all over the place.it is NO LONGER SAFE for children to just ride around .this park sounds like a perfect place for kids to burn off energy .

Major Taylor Park is a very good skatepark. A lot of kids go there, some to get better at skating, some to learn how to skateboard.

Us Skateboarders need to put a stop to this the best we can but if they do take our skateparks we are not going to quite. We are going to fight, we will do whatever it takes to keep skateboarding alive. Its like saying we cant have culture or be different then the rest of people.
