Last night our granddaughter at her yr12 graduation at le Fevre HS received a $500 scholarship reward in marine studies from this group/organisation.
It is so important that this support of local community (in a not so affluent area) continues to receive support from this type of group. They live in the area & are aware of local issues & needs.
We are SO grateful & know that this money will assist our granddaughter with her relocation to university in Tasmania, to continue her studies in Marine Biology.

I am in awe that United Service Lodge is to hand in its warrant when so many other Lodges operate with 6 members and with assistance of visitors.

A great but frustrating job has been done by a few of our past Masters. But they would not step aside and give the younger brigade a chance. Some still believe that the best is to sink with the ship. Well all we ask is to recess the lodge as requested. We will rise again.

This is the best scenario and will satisfy all. I fully support the Lodge going into recession and can see no reason why this would not be supported by all.

Brethren, it would be a sorry and sad day to see so much history just thrown away by narrow minded people with no foresight. This is a lodge with a tremendous amount of history and traditions. Why just surrender N 37 warrant? I was always taught that the Aussie soldiers would surrender, but just keep fighting.
United Service Lodge N 37 was consecrated in April 1887. The lodge went into recess from 29th March 1895 to 5th March 1925, this is over 30 years.
Adelaide in the next few years is having an influx of military personnel, Naval and Army. One battalion of Army personnel in fact, why would we just give up? Surrender I think not.
If we surrender our warrant, it is all gone, but if N 37 is placed into recess all the history and traditions will be saved. NO GUTS, NO GLORY, NO SURRENDER.

This lodge holds a proud and historic significance and CAN be saved. Please consider this in your decision. I for one will be joining this lodge once it is deemed appropriate.
