Save Our Loch Lloyd Green Space and Playground Area

We agree that development needs to be more closely scrutinized and there definitely needs to be more transparency between HOA, Tiehan Group, developers, and Loch Lloyd Residents. How about posting notices of this nature at the front gate so all who may be impacted can be made aware? The north gate remains open despite the agreement at the time the initial development was contemplated and there have been no community meetings as previously promised by the board regarding the push for joint security, infrastructure, etc. w/the north development. If all of these changes are so great for the community, why are there so many unsold homes in the original part of the subdivision? Security, amenities , and property values will continue to be eroded if the residents don't get involved. We would also support a shorter term for HOA positions to encourage others to participate on the board.

I posted this on the LL Facebook page but I am guessing it won't get approved so I will post it here as well: Our HOA needs a revamp and we seriously need to look into the value and what we are spending on the Tiehan group. There should not be a disconnect between our HOA and the developers but I believe this is being driven specifically by several long standing members of our HOA. We need term limits within our HOA so these issues can't continue to fester year after year. Several of the long standing members are continually abusing their power while being completely disconnected from our community. Thank you Nate Irvin for giving me clarity on the developers role in the potential development in the green space. I now see the development team is actually helping the community communicate with the HOA as it is the HOA behind the desire to develop the land by the current playground. My original comments were made before being fully informed. Thank you Nate for working with the developers to rectify the confusion.

Not everyone belongs to the golf club. Nice to have some amenities for our residents to use. Also is nice for re-sale value. Almost all Loch Lloyd competition in KS offers this.

Please preserve some habitat here

No more plating!!! Some houses are already choc-a-bloc - no wonder children need a playground.

All children need to be able to have a neighborhood playground to enjoy!

My wife Kelly was the one that worked through all the details and contractors with the HOA & Developer to get the playground put in close to 10 years ago when far fewer children lived in the community.

this is the only play space and playground our kids have.

Thanks for the comments Billy. I believe Five Star will do the right thing and allow the space to remain intact. I am sure they too will see the value of the greenspace to the community (and company) as being much greater than the value of the lots.

We have enjoyed the playground many times over the last 3 years. It is located in the perfect spot, on a quiet street and near the practice facility. This is a bad idea.

We don't want to take the playground away. Keep the green spaces.

The Planning Committee would be better served on this particular issue if they emphasized quality of life for children in our community rather than being only pecuniarily driven . Indeed, it would be better if they created more green areas, sporting areas and maybe resident gardening plot areas to use to improve the community and marketing vision.

Please save our green space. The playground in particular is an amenity desired and enjoyed by current AND future residents.

Please preserve our only playground for the community children and more specifically for my grandsons! This convenient established area is a part of our neighborhood.

We would like to see the playground area preserved for the use of our grandchildren when they come to visit. We think it's a great feature of the community.
