Too many idiot drivers. CHP should monitor this stretch of highway more, rather than between Mammoth Lakes and Bishop where there are easily at least two officers at any hour.

This stretch of road is awful. The amount of truck traffic alone should be enough for four lanes.

Been victim of an estimated 90 mph "Hit & run" on my bicycle. Have lost both friends and relatives. Been first person on numerous horrific scenes that will never leave my dreams. Some lives saved but most... Not the way anyone should have to leave this world but even worse for those who survive!

Not only will widening this highway save lives, it just makes sense for that many shipping/freight trucks that use it.

Stop letting families loose loved ones. This road takes traffic heading to Mammoth, I bet the ppl up there would also be interested in Stopping the loss of loved ones too.
I have personally been to close to many ppl playing with others lives for no reason but getting one car ahead.

I drive this every day during the week from Rancho cucamonga to ridgecrest for work. This needs to happen or add lanes with a center divider. I see too much each day on this highway including deaths

I have witnessed on a few occasions of near miss accidents on this road. Even in passing areas, you have ups and downs and curves. It really should be 2 lanes on each side.

Yes. I travel this highway very after. Been in near accident situations and have seen accidents happen. Its always been dangerous and it is such a well traveled campers highway.
