I commute this road every day and it needs to be 4 lanes or alternating passing lanes

My husband drives this road 5 days a week. He tells me all about the stupid people who risk there lives and the lives of others on the road.
He has almost been in head on colisions because people are paasing and there is not enough time for them to pass. I pray for him everyday to be pertected on this road.

I grew up in Ridgecrest, right off of 395. In 63 years that road has changed very little. It's claimed way to many lives. TIME TO CHANGE IT AND THE STATISTICS!

I lost my 16 year old son my prayer is changes can be made and prevent further parents from losing children and family losing family friends losing friends

It's scary to drive on this road. People act stupid. We have memories of the first time we drove to Ridgecrest, and we were trying to get out from behind a swerving semi (it was at night) and there was nowhere to safely pass, so we ended up stuck behind this truck in a dangerous situation for miles.

Either people need to have respect for the rules of the road or we need to make this highway safer. Too many times has someone's actions almost cost my family their lives.

Often you get behind a truck barely going 50 and you have 13 miles or more before a passing lane with double double yellow lines! There is enough asphalt already down for an extra lane but they made a large edges for what?--Bikes?. I can't believe a few years ago they even took out two or three places you used to be able to pass!
